At Tasman Horse Rides we carefully select our horses for their type and temperament, so we know they are kind, safe and fun to ride. We know our horses have as many different personalities as the wonderful people who visit us, so we make it important to match a horse to suit you and your riding ability.

Living Environment

Our horses live as one herd, grazing and roaming over 60ha (150 acres) of open pasture that make up part of our farm. This living environment most closely resembles a natural equine environment where horses keep together as one herd and roam for miles. We believe this promotes happy, stress free horses that are wonderful to work with and ride. We keep our herd barefoot for the best hoof health of our horse and our herd.
